When SB1070 takes effect (at least theoretically) numbers of illegal aliens will be arrested, jailed, and deported for being in violation of a new law. Every time this happens it counts as a crime when it comes to recording the crime rate in AZ. So, yes, every time an illegal is arrested for being an illegal the crime rate counter gets another check mark and the rate rises. Think of it this way. ANYTIME, a law is past the crime rate will technically rise. Why? Because there is yet another rule that can be broken and recorded as a crime. So is the anti-1070 crowd lying when the say the crime rate will rise? Technically No. But they are smart enough to not mention the fact that the crime rate will go up because it accounts for all the illegal aliens that are getting arrested simply for being illegal. They figured that Arizona would lose 140,324 jobs of people that sell goods and services directly to these "illegals". The gross state product would be reduced by 11,700,000,000 that is 11 billion 700 million. AND, the economy of Arizona would have a total loss of activity of 26,400,000,000 that is 26 BILLION, 400 million. Damm those illegals. ha!
