I live in Texas and the state as a whole has done nothing to rid us, of this problem. Will those illegals from Arizona and Oklahoma actully return to Mexico if not deported? Are they just going to use up all the other resources from other states?

Also are there any more states going to up hold the rule of law?|||I'm sure some of the thick headed ones will venture into other states who seem more accepting instead of going home.....but blame Arizona and Oklahoma for enforcing the law and protecting their citizens.....heck no. They may get a flood of legal, law abiding citizens searching for a safe place to live. The more states illegals drain and turn to chaos....the more states will be forced to deal with it.|||Well, what's Texas waiting for?|||They will move to states where feckless politicians both dems and repubs do not have the courage to defend the citizens of their states.|||I've read that many of them are going back to Mexico, but some are just changing states. The Federal government should be behind these laws so it can be a universal thing. But at least its a start.|||Do not forget about Tennessee. No. What these states are doing is taking a stand that will encourage the illigals to go home. This is a trend starter much like what we have to deal with when California started the smoking ban and other social laws now in affect almost everywhere. Good for these states and hope the rest follow since our Federal Govnt will not do anything about it. We are being invaded and losing our national identity..|||I think Arizona and Oklahoma took action because the federal gov't didn't.

Is it possible that we are rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic and just pushing these criminals to states that haven't acted yet?

Yes.

Perhaps it will push the State of Texas to act. Irving Tx did!|||no i think they expect the other 48 states to join them in enforcing existing laws that the federal gov't refuses to enforce.|||I hope they go back to mexico, but, I fear they will simply move to states not actively looking for and deporting criminal illegal aliens.|||It is their prerogative. ALL states should be doing this, then we wouldn't still have a problem. The Federal Government wont enforce the laws.|||I don't blame them. The other states should start pushing them, too. Maybe we could push all of them back to where they came from.|||It's not just Arizona and Oklahoma.
There are a ton of states enacting laws regarding illegal aliens.

Go to the map and you'll see what I mean...and that's for 2006. 2007 has even more, but I'm still looking for the right link.

Edit: Found it.

And as of 2007, all 50 states are in the process of implementing legislation.
http://www.ncsl.org/programs/immig/2007S鈥?/a>|||I think they will move to other states. I'm in California and I think we should pass the same type of law that AZ and OK have passed. If all the states stick together and pass the same type of law, they will all self-deport.|||Yep, I think that is what is going to be happening. Arizona and Oklahoma will be rid of their criminal illegal aliens because they are migrating to other states.

That is why the rest of the 48 states need to take firm stands on getting rid of the illegal criminal aliens.|||My thought is this:

No matter what you do (in USA) IF mexican economy still being so far from USA economy NOTHING of what you do will ever stop this mexicans leaving the country.

The fact is that both countries are just side by side, united. You need to walk thru the border to see it and understand it, this is the same land.

I agree on having rules and protect people from criminals; but many (the 99% of mexican migrants) is good people, only too poor (many of them) and too ignorants to understand and see the danger on cross the border ilegally (and brake your laws). Many of them even have work in Mexico; but here they earn 10 dollars per day, while ehy can have the same in US per hour. Once again, the problem is the huge difference between mexican economy and US economy.

The only way to STOP ilegal migration is to develop and improve mexican economy (I agree about solution is not legalize them all).

Don't blame immigrants on poor administration, they are not responsibles for deficit in government. Don't begin to think like germans about jews just before nazi age.

Look on Europe, richer countries have been helping poor countries to develop, and eventualy open the borders without massive immigration. Northamerica should learn that, so this won't be an issue any more.

By the way; I think that YES, in short time you will see more ilegals in other states.|||We have a lot of work to do here in Texas. I hope so.|||If they are, it's not their fault - if the other states have a problem with illegals, the extra influx should force them to rethink their positions.
