I'm a freshman in high school and I'm just wondering what it takes to get a full ride to one of these Arizona colleges. I obviously haven't taken my SAT yet, but I'm in honors and have a 4.0+ GPA.
What does it take? Do I have to play sports, take more extracurricular activities, community service, etc.|||Congratulations, you have a very good GPA score. But you definitely need to get great grades and a great SAT also. Since you have already participated in extracurricular activities, it will help with your admission to any of the good colleges. I know a lot of students that thought they wanted to go to their dream school, but when they got in and went to that school, they were really disappointed. So make sure you want to go to the best University finally. You can get information about the academic requirements of both the colleges here:
Arizona State - http://www.unigo.com/arizona_state_unive鈥?/a>
University of Arizona - http://www.unigo.com/university_of_arizo鈥?/a>|||With your GPA, you should have no problem getting in. If you continue that GPA then heck yes. For the best thing to do is call or email the school and ask what is expected of you and then go from there.|||A full ride----probably varsity football or basketball. Full ride academic scholarships are very rare and getting rarer.|||play at least 2 years of sports
100+ community service hours
take AP classes
4.0+ cumulative GPA
and be top 5 in your graduating class
