I AM TRYING TO RELOCATE FROM ORLANDO ALORIDA TO ANOTHER STATE. I AM LEANING TOWARDS ARIZONA BUT I WANT A SAFE PLACE FOR MY KIDS WHERE THE EDUCATION IS GOOD. THE RENTALS AREN'T AS EXPENSIVE AS ORLANDO AND THERE IS SO MANY MORE EMPLOYMENT OPPURTUNITIES. ALL ANSWERS WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.THANKS AND GOD BLESS.|||Go to http://forrent.com to find a place. Gilbert has every thing you are looking for. Go to http://careerbuilder.com to find a job.|||I have been to Phoenix and Scottsdale and loved both cities. the only problem is that in August it gets to 110+ degrees.

They are both very safe and extrememly affordable.|||A lot of people from Florida end up relocating to Arizona, so you'll be in good company. I was born and raised in Phoenix and have lived mostly in North Phoenix and Glendale, both of those areas in my opinion are very safe and have some of the best schools in the country. West Glendale has built up so much in the past few years, w/ the new stadiums and shopping centers, you'll have plenty to do. There is a nice lake that you can visit about 20 miles north of Glendale called Lake Pleasant, it's not teh ocean, but it does the job. In terms of the heat, I think that you will have no problem dealing w/ it, like they say "it's a dry heat." There is almost 0% humidity throughout the entire year and that makes it so much more bearable than a place like Florida.|||Phoenix is a big city and there are parts of it that are really nice and there are parts that aren't so nice. The east valley is pretty nice-Chandler, parts of Mesa, Queen Creek, Apache Jct, Gilbert, Fountain Hills, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, then on the west side there is Goodyear, parts of Avondale, Surprise, Peoria, Glendale, and then if you go south to certain parts of Laveen where they are still building-that is nice. If I were you say away from Maryvale and most of central phoenix. There are some nice streets like down central but the surrounding cities have much better schools and less crime. Hope that helps-good luck!|||If you enjoy 110+ degree weather for much of the summer, bland houses, prison design style schools, dust storms, snakes and lizards, and so on than AZ is your place.

But to be fair, the job market here is booming, low taxes, low gas prices, low rental costs, a pretty good highway system, and nice weather during the winter

But phoenix and the cities around it is one big suburb, there's little character, most of the schools look like prison's, the drop out rate is high, and auto theft and ID theft is a big problem here.|||I live in Chino Valley, Arizona. Some quick facts about my area:

Jobs are scarce.
Education is good.
Rent ranges from $600 for a single room to $2800 for a full house per month.
Water and electricity are reasonable.

We don't have the violence that the large cities have, but you'd better do your homework when looking for a job. Anything that has to do with construction is awful here. Nursing is in extremely high demand as are education professionals.

If you do decide to move to my neck of the woods, we'll welcome you.

Also, we do have bugs, but not as many as Florida has. =)|||The school systems in Phoenix are really good and it's not too expensive to live here either. This is a big city, so there's crime just like any other big city, you just have to find the right area to live in.
