arizona: Immigration is a federal issue. Arizona is causing a mass exodus of working immigrants to California and Colorado. Should Obama go after Arizona harder? Calling them Nazis doesn't seem to be working. Force must be applied.|||You're kidding right? All Arizona is asking for is for our law enforcement to be given the right to enforce the Federal Immigration Laws.. Arizona is having great difficulty with battling illegal immigration. WE ARE NOT AGAINST IMMIGRATION! WE ARE NOT RACIST! (besides Illegal is NOT a race) We just want the immigrants to come here legally. That’s all. We have done everything we can for those that enter our county legally. We have special court systems for the Spanish speaking. Our schools are required to offer ESL classes (English as a Second Language). Our election ballots, hospital admission forms, unemployment forms, job applications,banking forms, etc are in English and Spanish. We are not going door to door asking for IDs. We are asking that in the normal course of Police Business, the police are allowed to establish they are here legally by asking for a drivers lic or ID. Where our frustration comes in, is when you see pictures of our desert severely littered by the illegals, (Can provide horrific pictures) when the illegals are smuggling massive amounts of drugs across the border, when the illegals ambush our patrolling law enforcement w/AK-47s, when S.Arizona land owners are being shot and killed on their own property and if the owners are not killed they are losing livestock by the 100’s because they are being injured/killed/eaten by the border crossers, when illegals kidnap their own countrymen/woman and children, torturing, starving and holding them hostage within our neighborhoods, when my child’s school can no longer offer educational programs because the extra funds MUST go to ESL program, when state programs offered for low income children are being obliterated because Arizona funds are paying for the delivery of “anchor babies” and medical care of illegals , when they bring their drug cartel wars on to American soil, when they march in our streets waving THEIR nation’s flag, demanding OUR rights. What do you suggest we do?|||Calling someone Nazi's NEVER worked. Mainly because unless you're systematically KILLING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, it's not comparable. Still, this is an issue of law and the constitution. Obama, as well as others are prepping to file suite and have the law struck down. This is the appropriate course of action, and if he wins, the laws will be repealed. It just takes time.|||President Obama should be supporting the Arizona law. I'm at my home in Vancouver right now and before I entered the country I had to show not only my passport but proof that I had medical insurance. I had to let them know how long I would be in the country and the purpose of my visit. These questions were not only asked of me but every person who entered regardless of their race.|||Politicians pander to the Hispanics. When Bush ran for office, he used little Mexican phrases, and made a point to say that Jeb's wife is Hispanic. Bush was lousy on controlling the border, just like McCain used to be, and Obama is now. If you take in your poor cousin, you're a nice guy. But what if you have 40 other cousins? Shouldn't you save yourself?|||Arizona is doing what the federal government has refused to do. Obama should enforce federal laws so that Arizona does not have to do the work the feds should be doing.|||ILLEGAL immigration is also a state issue. Especially for those of us that live in the southwest. Please explain exactly what "force" do you propose applying. We don't play pattycake down here. We play for real.|||If only you were in the administration now. The rest of the nation would be able to see you as you really are. And why did you leave out the word "Illegal" describing the working immigrants?|||I thought immigration only became a problem during the Obama administration. You mean, it's been a problem for years?
