Nothing has changed for Arizona citizens, including Latinos. Police can only check for citizenship status if they are already in lawful contact AND there is probable cause to do so. They WILL NOT just walk up to anyone and ask, "Your papers please." If they do have the need to ask, a drivers license will do. Federal law already says that foreign nationals in the US already have to carry identification. Truth has a sound. Attitude and hyperbole without facts to back it up do not have this sound. The new law actually hasnt taken affect yet and wont untill late july or early august but I personally wouldnt mind if I were asked to show my ID every single day in AZ.
