Nonetheless, they did not get here legally and they should not be rewarded for that. They can go back and try again. But the way Arizona is handling it is not right. Being able to single out foreign-looking people just because there is "reasonable suspicion" that they may be illegal is wrong. Will a white person ever be called our for this? Maybe in rare cases. Will Hispanics or Asians be called our for this? Frequently. That is racial discrimination and that is not the right way to carry things. We are a country of justice and equality.
