Please cite some statistics on the % of american citizens of hispanic descent or those of hispanic descent with legal immigration status that are leaving as a % of the total number of hispanic descended people feeling the need to leave the state. I'd suspect the number of american citizens or legal immigrants fleeing arizona due to this law is less than 0.1%. Which makes her arguement fall to the liberal dust it is.|||Because even if you are here legally, you might have children, spouse, or parents or others that have broken the law by being here|||I'll bet each one of those legal immigrants are housing many illegals. That's why she's worried.|||I didn't see the original question. I'd agree that the percentage is small, but from news reports here in Phoenix recently, it does seem that there is a movement back to Mexico or to other countries by families where some or most of the members are US citizens. One school principal cited nearly one hundred withdrawals from classes. I saw two interviews with highschool students who were going to Mexico and to Guatemala because their parents were not legal residents though they had been here for many years. I don't find any overall statistics on the issue, though.
