arizona: I see the point now. Arizona is a place where vigilantism and lawlessness ARE tourist attractions. Tombstone, Ft. Bowie, Apache Battles, and other Wild West attractions draw millions. Adding Nazism to the list only brings in more tourists.|||I am not sure there is actually a question in here but i will give your original "Why do some people think the Arizona boycott will not work?" my best answer. The AZ boycott wont work primarily because at the moment of this post only Boston, LA, and San Fransisco that are boycotting AZ. These are individual cities not entire states so the impact is minimal. More importantly both LA and San Fran get approximately 40% of their electricity from Arizona's Palo Verde Nuclear Power plant. As a result both cities are incapable of a true 100% boycott. In short the California end side of the "boycott" is more a bark then bite. While individuals upset at the principle of the AZ law polls do show the majority of Americans favor the AZ law. And for every individual that is upset and will boycott, another is proud and will got out of their way to find AZ products.|||Because 70% of Americans support the law|||I would gladly visit a theme park re-enactment of the holocaust... if it had ever really happened in the first place.|||The majority of Americans support the law. Get used to it.|||A boycott hurts Americans who have jobs and are trying to feed their families. Boycotts hurt the innocent and it's pretty naive to think otherwise. The characterization of nazism is immature and inflammatory but it is recognized that there are those who have the inability to do research, get the truth and retract an earlier position. The people of Arizona deserve to be protected from illegal criminals and, as has been discussed, the Arizona law allows law enforcement officers to ask immigration status during an inquiry into an infraction of law. If an illegal has a valid driver license, then that is sufficient proof for law enforcement and no further inquiry is necessary. I hope I have helped explain the law more simply to encourage a greater understanding.|||It won't work because most Americans support it. I've only ever driven through Arizona before but I'm now thinking of vacationing there as a way to show my support for it. I think instead of costing them business they may gain and the idiots doing the boycott will be the ones hurt. And I do think that if they don't want business from Arizona, well then, Arizona should pull the plug on the electricity being sent to LA from there. Stupid California liberals!|||Funny isn't it?
