The only difference that I can see is that Arizona will enforce the law.|||It doesn't. It is derived from the federal laws. The problem Obama has with the law, is it may actually be enforced. He doesn't believe States should have that much power.|||The law does really only one thing:it makes violation of 8 USC 1304 or 1306 (aliens in US without papers), while in Arizona, a crime (actually "trespassing"), for which Arizona officers can arrest the alien to be fined and delivered to INS for deportation. It has technical parts that implement this.
|||The simple fact is actual minorities who are citizens - will have their liberties infringed on due to profiling. This law is Unconstitutional, the state is overstepping it's boundaries of pursuing federal matters and overstepping Constitutional boundaries of privacy and liberty.
Amazing how so many Arizonians are willing to give up freedoms to fat *** bureaucrats who promise to make it better, when they should be voting in officials who will press the immigration matter in DC.|||None whatsoever. The law just tells the local police they can do what an INS agent could do if they were there. No more a violation then a local officer arresting any criminal who violated a federal law such as counterfeiting.|||What people don't take into consideration, most illegals that are identified through enforcement action, are identified by non-Federal law enforcement officers.|||The Federal Law doesn't violate the Fourteenth Amendment.|||You are correct. There is no difference, except enforcement.|||thats why its written the way it is, so arizona can do what the feds won't|||Cops get to ask if you are an legal or not.|||You are correct a mundo.
