I am looking to take a vacation in Arizona for a couple of weeks. What are the best places to go in the Phoenix or Scottsdale area? I am interested in national parks, landmarks, historical places, tourist hot spots, or places that you just gotta see.|||Click on the link below and explore the many things you can do in Phoenix, I particularly like this one because it allows you to look at things by city....such as Glendale has Saguaro Ranch Park...it's a beautiful place where you can walk among the peacocks, or in the city of Peoria you can go to the Challenger Space Center where you can fly simulated space missions. In Fountain Hills you can see the Fountain and visit the park. It is just a wonderful website with lots to do. Have fun!|||There is a great theme park type thing called Rawhide. It's an old western town setting, they have gun shows and little old western stores, a great steakhouse, and a bunch of cool stuff. It's in scottsdale, I don't totally remember where, being as I was 10 when I lived there, but my whole family really enjoyed it. By the way, admission is free, you just have to pay for the attractions you want to take part in. Check out the website :)|||definitely Rawhide and the desert botanical gardens!!

www.rawhide.com|||In Phoenix- visit the Phoenix Zoo and Desert Botanical Gardens. Go downtown and take a tour of the historic districts and see all the unique houses. Check out the ball park and the AZ center for restaurants and nightlife.
Scottsdale has some gorgeous scenery. Check out Old Town for more good nightlife.
If you can drive a few hours north to Sedona- beautiful red rock country. Visit Jerome- an old mining town that's slowly sliding off the mountain- alot of great history there. Flagstaff is great for getting out of the heat- RT. 66 used to run through Flagstaff. Of course, the Grand Canyon- the state just put up a skywalk that actually goes over some of the canyon.|||You gotta go to the Phoenix Zoo and well only one of the seven wonders of the world.. The Grand Canyon.|||airzona mills , grand canyon , and sedona|||>>If you are able to drive about 2 hours north, Sedona is gorgeous. Old town Scottsdale is a real tourist spot and has some great restaurants and art galleries. South Mountain park is the one of the biggest continuous parks in the world and is great for hiking.|||Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot are some cool nearby ruins. We also have a nice zoo and when it's warm you can go tubing down the river.
