Remember that there are a few states which will not recognize an out of state learners permit. (You live in one of them). Pennsylvania is another so you will have to find a way to enter New Jersey without driving through Pennsylvania. While you're back east you also can NOT drive in the District of Columbia, and within the City of New York.
