By Arizona I mean the Phoenix area. I have a kit to plant one, and I love bananas, but I don't know if it will work.|||Hi yes if you live in a humid section. Banana trees like it humid and hot. We have a couple of them. That is why most our found in the jungle.|||I doubt it. A banana plant will die if it freezes and I think it freezes in Phoenix. Would you have it in a greenhouse, where warmth can be provided? If not, you might as well just go to the store and buy some bananas. It's wouldn't be worth the expense and trouble. The key would be, don't let it get colder then 32F. degrees. It's a tropical plant.|||Here is an interesting article about growing banana trees in the Phoenix area.
