arizona: my family is planning to move to arizona soon, is the economy good there, my dad is in construction is that popular there?? jobs etc.|||Construction is a top industry in Arizona, the problem is that right now Arizona's economy is in a major slump --and so the housing/building industry isn't doing as well as normal. But if your dad is in construction, Arizona is a good place to go. The economy is very bad right now, but that is generally true for the rest of the USA. He's a foreman and he wasn't working at all for a while and we had to move to a less expensive house because of it. Construction is big here but depends on what kind because my step dad was doing houses and ended up doing work far from the valley.
