My husband is working for a franchise company in the state of Arizona. He has hurt himself twice and the owner will not do anything about it. The owner makes my husband work about 9 1/2 hrs a day 5 sometimes 6 days a week. That is 47.5+ hrs a week. When he receives his check it contains 40 hrs a week not an hour over, He has started working graveyard and got robbed last night. His boss calls does not ask how he is if he got hurt after not being able to reach this man for 3 hrs after the incident he asks how much money they got and that my husband will have to pay back this money because he gave it to the robber. I have looked at what to do and can not find the answer. He is trying to find another employer to work for until then I do not know what to do about this situation. Can someone please tell me where to go or what to do about this?|||i hate being rude but how thick are ye?
he doesn't pay overtime, you hurt yourself and you got robbed. Quit, look for another job or better yet steal what you need. and screw him.|||if he is Union?

If he is salary then as long as he is making over minimum wage he can be worked as much as the boss wants. Second, if he gets hurt on the job he has a legal right to medical attention. You can go to your state labor board to verify this. I would also check with the labor board on if the money stolen can be taken out of his check. I would get with your husband and write down all the questions and complaints and call your state labor board. They can let you know if you can do anything.
